How to get your company towards nature positive: Give nature a board seat.
1 Biodiversity Action in 1 Minute

Last newsletter before my 2 weeks break. You deserve some quite time from my writing, voice and face. I deserve some ocean time.
Can't deny I am looking forward to some time off.
But before I hit the beach one more tip for you.
Give nature a seat on your company board.
To build a wilder world we need companies on board.
Currently the private sector is spending $5 Trillion on damaging nature. And only $35 Billion on boosting it.
So how can we close this gap?
By change
a) How strategic & fundamental decisions are made.
b) How progressive change from extractive to regenerative is pushed.
c) How people are incentivized inside companies to drive this change.
d) How capital is spent.
Boards are heavily involved in all of these.
Giving Nature a seat on the board would not tip the scale, but it would spark some new reflections that would hopefully accelerate the transition.
And if you think, "Oli you crazy nature nerd, nobody would do this!"
Think again because Faith in Nature did exactly this.
Best news? They share all their resources publicly on how you can do it too.
This might not be an easy task, yet it's necessary on our way to a nature-positive future.
Try it and let me know how you get on.
As promised 1 Biodiversity Action in 1 Minute.
Have a wild weekend!
Best,
Oli
